Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Argfluent ("Argfluent," "we," or "us") collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information through the platform at argfluent.com and related services (the "Service"). The data controller for Argfluent is Moldavsky Technologies LLC, the operating entity behind the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the data practices described here.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. Email address, password (stored only as a hashed value by our auth provider), and an optional display name.
- Study data. Any LawHub score-report PDFs you upload and the per-question results parsed from them; your answers, time-per-question, and flags during practice and exam sessions; your study-plan targets and lesson progress; your conversations with the in-app tutor.
- Billing data. If you subscribe, your name and payment-method details are collected and processed by Stripe, Inc., our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number. We store the minimum subscription metadata needed to provision Pro access.
- Basic technical data. IP address and browser type, used for security, rate-limiting, and abuse prevention.
2. How we use your information
- To provide and improve the Service — parse your score reports, generate your study plan, serve practice questions, and produce analytics about your performance.
- To bill you and prevent fraud (via Stripe).
- To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, billing receipts). We do not send marketing email without your separate opt-in.
- To protect the Service, enforce our Terms of Service, and respond to legal process.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. If you consent to advertising cookies, some online identifiers may be "shared" for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by California law — you can opt out at any time via our Do Not Sell or Share page or by sending a Global Privacy Control signal, which we honor. We share information with the following service providers (processors), only as needed to operate the Service:
- Supabase — database hosting, authentication, and file storage. Hosted in the United States.
- Stripe — payment processing. See stripe.com/privacy.
- Anthropic and/or OpenAI — AI providers for the tutor and question generation. Both contractually agree not to train on API-submitted content in their default API tiers, but you should still avoid sending highly sensitive personal data through the tutor.
- Analytics & advertising providers — only if you consent, privacy-analytics and (in the future) advertising/conversion providers receive limited usage and device data to help us measure and improve the Service. These run only with your consent and never when you opt out or send a Global Privacy Control signal.
- Legal compliance. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or comparable legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Argfluent, our users, or others.
- Corporate change. If we are acquired or merged, information may transfer to the successor entity, subject to this Privacy Policy or an equivalent successor policy.
4. Cookies, analytics & tracking
Essential cookies and browser-local storage (for sign-in and preferences like your theme) are always on and need no consent. With your consent we also use analytics cookies, and we may in the future use advertising/conversion cookies. We ask for your choice via an on-site banner; you can change it any time on our Do Not Sell or Share page, and we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as an opt-out of advertising/"sharing." See our Cookies Policy for details.
5. Data retention
- While your account is active — we retain your account, study data, and billing records.
- After account deletion — we delete your profile, uploaded PDFs, parsed results, and personal study history within 30 days. We may retain billing records for as long as required by tax and accounting law, and we may retain anonymized, aggregated usage metrics indefinitely.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will verify your identity and respond within the timeframe required by your jurisdiction (and within 30 days at the latest).
You can exercise the core rights yourself in-app: access & export your data (Settings, or GET /api/profile/export), correct your profile (Settings), and delete your account and data (Settings). California residents and residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws also have the right to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information: use our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page, or send a Global Privacy Control signal, which we honor. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe we may have, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS in transit, encrypted storage at rest, and webhook signature verification on payment events. No system is perfectly secure; you use the Service at your own risk and agree to notify us promptly at [email protected] if you discover a vulnerability.
9. International users
Argfluent is operated from the United States and stores data on servers located in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your information in the United States.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or via the app at least 14 days before they take effect.
